Progressing nicely with my current 28mm Templar project for SAGA.
The figures are from the two plastic sets by Fireforge (Templar knights and Templar infantry). The kits are very good in my opinion and allow for quite some variation.
Again, this is functional painting, I do not have time to spend +6 hours per figure. The figures may not be as good as metal but they are 85% there and the gain in ease to work with them, the weight and cost make it worth by a long shot.
I totally understand people who prefer metal, there are some beautiful figures out there. I, for one, prefer the plastic option when they are good. These sets are definitely good.
More pictures probably next week. Still need to find myself a warlord.
Army composition:
- 3 x 4 mounted knights (Guards)
- 1 x 8 dismounted knights (used as warriors)
- 2 x 8 crossbowmen (used as warriors)
To finish:
- red crosses on 3 horses
- paint up 2 flags
- apply gloss varnish on decals (barded horses)
- apply mat varnish on all figures
- touch up
- maybe I will dust up some of the cavalry
