Boyband One Direction's legion of fans got their hopes up this afternoon after rumours started circulating on Twitter that they were filming on Clevedon Pier.
The Pier has been shut all day, with film crews in the area.
Locals started posting on Twitter that there were rumours it was 1D - but there has been no official sightings of the boys.
Rory Daniels tweeted: "Is there any One Direction fans out there????coz there down Clevedon pier and seafront filming and promo video!!!"

Crews on the pier say they are filming a "pier of the year" commercial, and deny that One Direction are there.
