First Week Sales Projections of Drake and Future's 'What a Time to Be Alive' Mixtape

Drake and Future dropped a surprise collaborative mixtape on Sunday titled What a Time To Be Alive. The project is going to be exclusive to iTunes (Drake has a deal with Apple) till Friday, where it could be streamed or bought in other stores. I guess the exclusivity is really helping the album sales, as it is being projected to sell as much as 340,000 copies first week. Earlier on in the week, I had said it would sell at least 200k...I guess my prediction wasn't far from the truth. Congrats to Drake and Future; this are huge numbers for a mixtape.

Read more on this below.

"The Drake-Future mixtape is now expected to move 340-360k albums and 380-400k SPS in its opening week,, which began on Sunday night when it crash-landed on iTunes. The set will be an Apple exclusive for one week before going to other retailers and Spotify. Will Spotify take this release, or will they ignore it, as they did Dr. Dre’s Compton: A Soundtrack?"
